School Visit Resources

The BBKA is now able to invite school groups to spend the day at our Apiary Garden & Education Centre to learn about the important of honey bees, pollinators, beekeeping and the environment.  This excellent facility is only accessible to schools local to Stoneleigh but we are aware that many BBKA Associations and Branches also do great work in their own local area including visiting schools and other community groups to talk about the importance of honey bees and pollinators.

We are keen to share details of what we do here at Stoneleigh with Associations and Branches to help them when they visit schools and other community groups.  It will obviously not be possible to replicate the whole day we offer but most of the activities can be adapted to suit individual circumstances and available facilities.  A 'step by step' guide is included for each activity which lists the resources needed and gives instructions for completing the activity.

Associations and Branches should feel free to share their own ideas and activities which can also be included on this page.  Please email details to: [email protected]
